Tool(s): Import PDF Data
2D/3D elements
When importing 3D PDF files, you can specify whether Allplan is to create 2D elements (preview as pixel area) or 3D objects (model).
Resizing factor
You can enter a factor defining the size of the imported elements (the higher the value, the larger the elements).
Bezier split level
Bezier curves are defined by control polygons. The value you enter for Bezier split level defines how many times a Bezier curve is subdivided in the area of a straight line of the control polygon. The higher the value, the smoother the manner in which the imported curve is displayed. However, the amount of data also increases.
Use layers
This option specifies that planes in PDF files become layers in Allplan. The elements are arranged on layers.
Import bitmaps
You can specify whether bitmaps are imported and created as bitmap areas.
Optimize bitmaps
This option removes white spaces around bitmaps.
Import step by step
When you enable this option, the PDF file is imported step by step.
This setting is only valid for the current import.
Undoing the import also requires several steps.
Join text lines
You can specify whether text segments are combined to form text lines.
Import "Fill” objects
PDF-format files can contain different types of fill objects. "EOFill" objects are always imported as fills; "Fill" objects, on the other hand, only when this option is enabled. Depending on the manner in which the PDF file was created, you may achieve better results when this option is disabled.
Comment as link
You can specify whether notes and comments in PDF files are imported as links to text files.
Draw page border
You can specify whether a border in construction line format is applied to each PDF page in Allplan.
Page range
In the case of documents consisting of several pages, you can specify which pages are to be imported.
The pages are placed beside each other.
Pages per row
You can enter the number of PDF pages per row; in other words, you specify how many PDF pages are placed beside each other in one row in Allplan.
