Allplan has a modular structure. In other words, it features individual program modules, each of which contains the necessary tools for a specific discipline. The modules themselves are arranged in families, such as the Basic family, Bonus Tools family and so on.
Tip: The most important tools are always at hand on the Basic Tools toolbar, the configuration toolbars and on the menus. This way, access to the most frequently used tools is provided without requiring you to switch to a different module.
You can switch between modules in three ways:
Tip: When the Switch modules automatically option is active in the Options on the Mouse and crosshairs page, the program automatically switches to the appropriate module when you create elements using the shortcut menu.
Note: You cannot access the Layout module via the Modules palette. Instead, use the Layout Editor tool.
The following section lists the Allplan families. You can see at a glance which modules are in which family. Just click a family.
If you want, you can access detailed descriptions for each tool straight from this list. Click a module to to see which tools are in this module. Click a tool to get detailed information on its functions.
Note: Your Allplan configuration may not include all modules or families. It is the Allplan license you have installed that controls which tools, modules and families are actually available to you.
