Printing in grayscale

Requirements for printing layouts in color

To print in grayscale (using a HP DesignJet) without changing the properties of the elements

1. Set up an output channel and select HPCOL_DESIGNJET for the output device.
2. In the Layout module, click Print Layouts (How).
   

   Activate Print Layouts in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Layout

   • Toolbar: Basic Tools Layout flyout
   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Assembling layouts

3. Open the Print profile tab. In the Print settings area, click the Set button to the right of Pen and color assignments.
4. Select Print in color or Line colors using shades of gray in the More settings area.
5. To print Fills and bitmap areas in Grayscale, select the corresponding option.

Tip: When you use a color printer (e.g. HP DesignJet 755 CM/PS), you need to select the monochrome setting directly on the printer.
