C4D format (R12), general information

You are advised to use the CINEMA 4D R12 C4D format for exchanging data with the current versions of CINEMA 4D.

Special features when exporting to CINEMA 4D:

• Before saving the file, you can define how the data is to be transferred in the CINEMA 4D Export Settings dialog box.
• Door swings are retained.
  The door swing is placed exactly in the position where it has been defined in the smart symbol.
• Room names are retained.
  So that you find your way around the CINEMA 4D model, room names are also transferred.
• Only materials used are exported.
  Only the materials you actually used in Allplan are exported. This speeds up the export.

Updating geometry in CINEMA 4D

In CINEMA 4D you can add (File menu) C4D files from Allplan to update the geometry without changing the materials and lights you refined in CINEMA 4D.
