Applying attribute filters

Before you select elements by clicking them or opening a section window, you can set one or more filters. Only the elements that match the filter criteria entered are then selected.

To filter based on attributes

1. After you have selected a tool for modifying elements (e.g. moving), click Filter by attribute on the Filter Assistant toolbar.
2. In the Attribute Filter dialog box, you can define the attributes according to which the filter is to be applied.
3. Select the elements by clicking them or opening a selection window.

   Only the elements that match the specified filter criteria are selected.
