Displaying 2D elements as pattern lines

Using pattern lines

You can display all 2D line elements which you have created in the Draft and Advanced Draft modules (e.g. line, box, ellipse, spline etc.) as pattern lines.

To display a 2D element as a pattern line

1. Click Modify Pattern Line (How) and select the elements you want to display as a pattern line.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a region, use the left mouse button to open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select
   • To include all the elements in the current document, click All in the Input options or press CTRL+A. Please note that this option is not available for all tools.

   When selecting elements, you can use the Filter Assistant to apply a filter based on element types and/or properties. For more information, see Filter Assistant.

   

   Activate Modify Pattern Line in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Modify Draft

   • Palette: Tools Modify area in the following module(s):

   Draft

   Or:

2. Select the elements you want to display as a pattern line, open the Properties palette and enable the Pattern Line option.
