Styles

This is where you select the dimension line types displayed in the dimension block. You can enter the spacing between the individual dimension lines in a block on the Entry Options tab in the Dimension lines area.

Overall dimensions

The points to be dimensioned are determined along the direction element.

Outside dimensions

The points to be dimensioned are determined along the direction element.

Room dimensions

The points to be dimensioned are determined along the line that is opposite the direction element.

Centered on openings

The axes of openings are dimensioned. The opening points to be dimensioned are determined along the direction element.

Note: With dimensions for openings, only doors and windows are taken into account. To include other types of opening like joints, niches etc., add them later using Add Dim. Line Point.

Show height of openings

The axes of openings and the heights of the openings are dimensioned. The opening points to be dimensioned are determined along the direction element.

Layers

This is where you assign each dimension line type its own layer. The layer assignment is also included when you save styles. Clicking the ... button opens the 'Layer' dialog box for selecting layers.

You can quickly hide individual dimension lines or entire dimension line blocks using the visibility setting of layers.
