Position

Click in the box to define the position of the dimension text relative to the dimension line.
The options vary, depending on whether you have selected normal dimensioning or elevation dimensioning.

Normal dimensioning

In this mode, you can select a rule defining the position of the dimension text relative to the dimension line. Please note that this setting is not available with the Elevation and Curve Dimensioning tools. The available positions vary depending on the selected rule.

Rule: Allplan

The position of the dimension text is freely definable. Depending on the space available between the arrowheads, the dimension text is placed in the following sequence:
At the position you specified - above the dimension line - below the dimension line.

Rule: Allplan -x-

The position of the dimension text is predefined: centered in the dimension line. Consequently, the dimension text is always placed exactly in the middle so that it is between the arrowheads. Depending on the space available between the arrowheads, the dimension text is placed in the following sequence:
On the dimension line - left of the dimensioned section - right of the dimensioned section - above the dimension line - below the dimension line.

Rule: Off

The position of the dimension text is freely definable.
The dimension text is placed as specified; it is not adjusted.

Rule: CZ/SK

The position of the dimension text is predefined: centered and above the dimension line. Consequently, the dimension text is always placed exactly in the middle so that it is between the arrowheads and above the dimension line.
Depending on the space available between the arrowheads, the dimension text is placed in the following sequence:
At the position you specified - left of the dimensioned section - right of the dimensioned section - above the dimension line - below the dimension line.
The height of the opening is displayed below the dimension line, and the sill height spec (=additional text) appears in brackets next to the opening height.

Rule: Swiss 1

The position of the dimension text is predefined: centered and above the dimension line. Consequently, the dimension text is always placed exactly in the middle so that it is between the arrowheads and above the dimension line.
Depending on the space available between the arrowheads, the dimension text is placed in the following sequence:
At the position you specified - left of the dimensioned section - right of the dimensioned section - above the dimension line - below the dimension line.

Rule: Swiss 2

The position of the dimension text is predefined: centered and above the dimension line. Consequently, the dimension text is always placed exactly in the middle so that it is between the arrowheads and above the dimension line.
Depending on the space available between the arrowheads, the dimension text is placed in the following sequence:
At the position you specified - left of the dimensioned section - right of the dimensioned section.

Rule: Leader

The position of the dimension text is predefined: centered and above the dimension line. Consequently, the dimension text is always placed exactly in the middle so that it is between the arrowheads and above the dimension line.
If there is not enough space between the arrowheads, the program adds a leader to the dimension text and places the dimension text on the side of the dimension line that is opposite the reference points.
The leaders start in the middle between the arrowheads. The program chooses the angle and length for each leader in such way that the texts do not overlap.
