Column based on a symbol with a freeform outline

- Draw the outline of the column in the Draft module and save the design as a symbol.
Note: The column outline must form a closed 2D outline; it can consist of circles, splines and clothoids.
To create a column based on a symbol with a freeform outline

Column (How). - If you want, you can now modify the column's parameters.
The context toolbar provides . - To set the column type, select the following settings in

and select the symbol that is to serve as the column outline. - Enter the angle.
- Set the other properties and the height.
- Click OK to confirm.
- Set the column's on the Column Context toolbar.
Tip: Before you place a column based on a symbol with a freeform outline, you can rotate it by using or by clicking
and entering a cursor snap angle at the keyboard.
