Components

Components, like openings, can only be created in conjunction with existing elements. For example: You can only insert a flush pier in a wall, or place a lintel/header or roller blind housing over a window opening that already exists.

When you place the component, Allplan will detect and automatically apply the dimensions of the primary element (the wall or opening, for example) to the component.

Columns

Columns can be round, rectangular, polygonal or freeform and saved as symbols. The columns are analyzed in the Quantity Takeoff module and output in bills of materials.
