Universal Timber, Steel Element tool

You can rotate universal timber/steel elements before you enter them (e.g. cross lath on rafters).

To rotate a universal timber/steel elements before you enter it

1. Click Timber, Steel Element (How).
   

   Activate Universal Timber, Steel Element in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Frame Construction: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Rafter Design: Rafters, Roof Beams, Posts

2. On the Context toolbar, click Define reference plane.
3. To define the plane into which the component is to be rotated do the following:
   • Enter three points for the plane.
   • Click two edges of existing timber/steel elements.
4. The rest is the same as for the Universal Timber, Steel Element tool.

   The component is rotated.
