Ceiling, Floor, Vertical Surface, parameters + Finish tab, parameters + Story tab, parameters
You can use this column to assign a condition to a layer or covering. Depending on this condition, the layer is analyzed or not. The condition is displayed in the column; Allplan uses the internal object numbers.
Conditions are defined in the same way as criteria in Find Elements,
Label Style and so on.
Conditions can be saved as favorite files using Save Favorite File and retrieved again using
Open Favorite File.
Note: Conditions are also included in area calculations. However, they are not taken into account by the modules in the Presentation family.
Possible applications:
The structure and materials of finish specifications generally depend on the nature of the components below. When you have defined suitable conditions, you do not have to know the nature of the components below when you assign finish specifications. And when you modify the materials of components at a later stage, you do not even have to adjust the finish specifications manually.
Using conditions you can start by defining rooms, for example, and you do not have to define walls until you want. Each modification you make (even if you modify an adjacent room) triggers off new quantity takeoff operations.
For example:
For example, a condition could be:
Material="B25"
This means that Allplan will only analyze this coat of the room if it finds a wall or column with the material ”B25” on this side of the room. The comparison is done in a geometrical manner.
You can also use Finish specifications for rooms whose walls consist of different materials (e.g. exterior wall = B25, interior wall = plaster, front = glass).
