Corner window parameters

Note: Only a rectangular outline is available for corner windows.

Parameters

Opening width 1, Opening width 2

Width 1 is the width of the first segment of a corner window. You can enter the width graphically or in the dialog line. It is displayed for checking.

Width 2 is the width of the second segment of a corner window. This width can be entered only after you have defined the opening parameters.

Sill height

Enter the height of the sill. To associate the height of the opening with reference planes or other elements, click the Setup button.

Opening height or

Enter the height of the opening. (The height represents the distance between the top of the sill and the bottom of the lintel.) To associate the height of the opening with reference planes or other elements, click the Setup button.

Relative height

Click Height... to define the height of the opening. You can define the height as an absolute value. You can also associate the height of the element with default or custom reference planes or relative to other building elements.

Relative to TL, BL

The height setup is represented by icons. Click Height... to make changes.

Library element 1 to n

To insert defined SmartParts or smart symbols in the corner window, click for the required part of the corner window in the Library element 1 to n area and select the SmartPart or smart symbol in the Library palette.

Library element 1 to n on the left is inserted in the part of the window you entered first and Library element 1 to n on the right is inserted in the other part.

If you want to insert several SmartParts or smart symbols, all you need to do is increment the number by 1 for each additional library element and select the library element in the library.
Click to switch off the currently selected library element.

Sill: format properties

You can specify which format properties are used to display the sill lines of a window.
Pen, Line and Color or Layer

This is where you can assign a layer to the architectural element or, in the case of elements with multiple construction layers, you can assign a separate layer to each construction layer.
The Select Layer/Visibility tab of the Layer dialog box opens so that you can select a layer.

Note: Basic layer settings such as Layer’s format properties and From layer, line style are taken into account and displayed in the dialog box. The settings made are represented by the relevant layer symbol. Consequently, you cannot make entries.

Note: This setting applies to the current window opening; it is retained until you change it.

Sill

You can specify how the sill is displayed on screen.

This is only available when the Reveal option is selected.

Reveal

Create reveal element

You can choose to show or hide the reveal here. Set the parameters for the reveal on the Reveal tab.

Retrieve reveal

If you have defined reveals and saved these as favorites on the Reveal tab, then you can select them here without having to switch tabs.
