Parameters for door openings, opening tab

The most recently used door swing style is displayed. To disable the door swing symbol, click

Off.

When you enter a value other than zero for Offset, Allplan creates two lines at the offset specified for the door leaf. Offset = 0 produces a door leaf consisting of a single line.

You can specify the opening angle for specific door swing symbols. The default is 90 degrees.

Depending on the type of opening you want to use, you can set the following parameters here:

You can save and retrieve the width of the opening using Save Favorite File and Open Favorite File.

Enter the height of the sill. To associate the height of the opening with reference planes or other elements, click the Setup button.

Enter the height of the opening. (The height represents the distance between the top of the sill and the bottom of the lintel.) To associate the height of the opening with reference planes or other elements, click the Setup button.

This setting represents the distance between the top of the sill and the start of the rise.

This setting is only available with circular and polygonal openings.

Enter a value.

Click Height... to define the height of the opening. You can define the height as an absolute value. You can also associate the height of the element with default or custom reference planes or relative to other building elements.

When you enable this check box, the door opening is given the internal identifier called ‘French door’.

French doors have the following properties:

Smart window or door symbols which are inserted in a French door are created with a door swing.
French doors are labeled correctly.
French doors can be evaluated and analyzed in schedules.

To insert defined SmartParts or smart symbols in the opening, click

in the Library element 1 to n area and select the SmartPart or smart symbol in the Library palette.

If you want to insert several SmartParts or smart symbols, all you need to do is increment the number by 1 for each additional library element and select the library element in the library.
Click

to switch off the currently selected library element.

You can specify which format properties are used to display the door sill:

Pen,

Line and

Color or

Layer

This is where you can assign a layer to the architectural element or, in the case of elements with multiple construction layers, you can assign a separate layer to each construction layer.
The Select Layer/Visibility tab of the Layer dialog box opens so that you can select a layer.

Note: Basic layer settings such as Layer’s format properties and From layer, line style are taken into account and displayed in the dialog box. The settings made are represented by the relevant layer symbol. Consequently, you cannot make entries.

Note: This setting applies to the current door opening; it is retained until you change it.

You can choose to show or hide the reveal here. Set the parameters for the reveal on the Reveal tab.

If you have defined reveals and saved these as favorites on the Reveal tab, then you can select them here without having to switch tabs.
