Defining a label style with several foils (dependent on reference scale or drawing type)
Tool(s) Label Style
To define a label style that changes with the reference scale or drawing type
- In the input options, click DefFol.
- Set Foil to On.
- Define whether the foils are to change with the reference scale (RSC) or drawing type (D type).
- When set to RSC, enter the scale range in which the foil that you are defining is to be visible. To do this, use the RSC-> and <=RSC boxes.
Note: The reference scale at which the label style is usually displayed should always be within the validity range defined by the upper and lower limits.
- When D type is active, select the drawing type in which the foil that you are defining is to be visible.
- Identify the foil’s relevant attributes.
- Specify the reference point.
- Repeat steps 3 to 5 to define more foils.
- Press ESC to finish defining the foils.
- Specify whether the individual foils of the label style can be selected and moved independently of each other.
Note: If you want to move or replace all the foils of a label with label style in one go later, select No.
- In the Save Data dialog box, specify the Folder (Office, Private, Project, External path), Subfolder and Name, and save the label style.
Tip: If you choose No when you see the 'Should it be possible to select foils individually?' prompt, you can move the individual foils of label styles you have already placed using the
Stretch Entities tool.
