Create a parallel line by direction
Create a parametric line parallel to an existing parametric line, whereat the direction of the distance can be arbitrarily defined.
To create a parallel line by direction
- Click Parallel line by direction.
- Click an existing line (or one of the two coordinate axes) to define the reference line of the new line to be created.
- Click an arbitrary parametric line, which defines the direction for the distance.
- Move the mouse in the direction of the desired position of the line to be created and input the desired distance relative to selected direction and the selected reference line in the appearing text box. Alternatively, you can define the position directly with the mouse cursor. Confirm the input in both cases with the enter key or the left mouse button.
- Directly create further parallel lines by direction (back to 2.) or quit the tool with ESC.
