Import an ALLPLAN Civil project file into the current or a different project directory
Master File
Follow
In case of a partial import of Tcl files via a master file (see Export partially) which contains the relative paths of the partial Tcl files, it is assumed by default that the master file and its subordinated partial Tcl files are located within the project directory.
If this option is active, the master file with its corresponding partial Tcl files can also be located outside the project directory.
Import a project file into the current project directory by initializing
The current project space, the project name and the project directory are informatively displayed.
Click on the button Initialize to open a dialogue for selecting the ALLPLAN Civil project file to be imported.
Note: When importing the project file, a possibly existing project in the current project directory is deleted.
Import/Add a partial project file to the existing project in the current project directory
The TCL file to be imported contains the data of a particular part of the project (see Export partially), which should be added to the existing project.
Using the option “Start within scope ABM”, you can directly import individual partially exported files of a particular project area (scope) into the project (i.e. the superordinate scope ABM BEGIN / ABM END (which is included in the master file) is not required. For further details see TCL Script Guide).
Import a project file into a new project directory
Project space
Select a directory, where the project folder of the project file to be imported should be created.
Project name
Input a project name, which will be used to create a project folder of the same name in the directory of the selected project space.
The project directory thus created for the project file to be imported is informatively displayed at the bottom edge of the input window.
Check the option “Copy TCL file to project folder” to additionally copy the TCL file (and the corresponding XML file) to be imported into the project directory.
Click on the button Create to open a dialogue for selecting the ALLPLAN Civil project file to be imported. When importing, the project folder defined by the project name will be created in the selected project space.
Note: When importing the project file, a possibly existing project in the selected project directory is deleted.
