File location
Select/Define the location for the backup files
Backup Directory (Civil)
The backup files are created in a subdirectory named “Backup” of the project directory of ALLPLAN Civil (...\Bridge\Project\Backup).
Project Directory (Civil)
The backup files are created directly in the project directory of ALLPLAN Civil (...\Bridge\Project).
Backup Directory (ALLPLAN)
The backup files are created in the directory defined under Configuration / Backup path in the Allmenu of ALLPLAN.
Custom Directory
The backup files are created in an arbitrary user-defined directory which can be defined in the line below or selected via the buttons at the end of the line, respectively.
Note: The directory path of the respectively selected file location is informatively displayed below the selection as well as the number of existing Tcl-files in this path.

Filter
File name prefix
Select/Define the prefix for the name of the backup file
Note: Depending on the selected file location, there are only certain prefixes available by default. In any case, by selecting a custom directory for the file location, a user-defined prefix can be defined.
Project Name
The prefix of the file name is the name of the current project.
Backup
The prefix fo the file name is “Backup”.
Custom
The prefix can freely be defined by the user in the line below.
Note: The resulting prefix from the respective selection is informatively displayed in the line below the selection.
File Name Postfix
Select the postfix
Overwrite
The file name receives no postfix and thus only consists of the selected prefix. Each backup file thus receives the same name and overwrites the previous backup file.
Timestamp
The postfix of the file name is a timestamp in the format yyyy-mm-dd-hh-mm-ss (year-month-day-hour-minute-second)
Note: Using timestamps can occupy considerable disk space over time, thus it is recommended to cleanup the backup files periodically.
Note: The resulting file name of the Tcl- and Xml-file, respectively, is displayed at the bottom end of the window, including the entire directory path of the backup.
