Assign specific values/properties to certain elements defined by assemblies
Using this calculation task, specific values or properties can be assigned to certain elements, such as a reduced stiffness for the eigenvalue calculation or the status of being statically determined/indeterminate for the checks according DIN EN. The elements to be respectively considered need to be assigned to the task by assemblies.
In the following table there is a description of the available types of parameters (which are selectable from the drop-down menu after opening the task SETELEMVAL) as well as their values to be defined:
Parameters |
Meaning |
Description |
Usage |
Values |
ReducedK |
Reduced stiffness |
Reduce the (total) stiffness of beam elements within the eigenvalue calculation (incl. torsional stiffness) *) The task SETELEMVAL must be performed on the same day as the task EIGEN. |
0.0 - 1.0 |
|
ReducedKt |
Reduced torsional stiffness |
Reduce the torsional stiffness of beam elements within the eigenvalue calculation *) The task SETELEMVAL must be performed on the same day as the task EIGEN. |
0.0 - 1.0 |
|
StructType |
Structure type |
Define the status of being statically determined/indeterminate of beam elements for the crack limitation check The task can be used in the construction phases more than once to change the status. Only applicable for the standard DIN EN |
0 [statically indeterminate], 1 [statically determined] |
*) The calculation tasks ReducedK and ReducedKt have a multiplicative effect if used simultaneously
