Syntax
EXCEED arg1 arg2
Description
In various situations, it is necessary to make additional adjustments to the length of the member, taking into account the geometric positions used. Station values at the beginning and end are used for this purpose. These values are signed, but positive from position 1 to position 2. The station length L of the connection beam is thus given by:
L = |P2 - P1| + excend - excbeg
Arguments
Minimum quantity: 1
arg1
Value |
Dimension |
Meaning |
excbeg |
STATION |
Shortening or lengthening of the member at the first geometric position |
^excbeg |
^STATION |
The shortening or lengthening is inherited from the template. The value after the '^' is the initial value. This inheritance is currently only allowed for components of type BODY. |
arg2
Value |
Dimension |
Meaning |
excend |
STATION |
Shortening or lengthening of the member at the second geometric position |
^excend |
^STATION |
The shortening or lengthening is inherited from the template. The value after the '^' is the initial value. This inheritance is currently only allowed for components of type BODY. |
Scopes
LGIRDER, BODY
Examples
EXCEED -0.2200 0.1800
The member is elongated about 0.22 at begin and about 0.18 at end.
EXCEED ^-3.9497 0.0000
The component lengthens by -3.9497 at the beginning, with the actual lengthening determined by the referenced template.
