TCL Export

The export to a TCL file can be executed in the title bar or on the Backstage page of Allplan Bridge/Civil or via command line:

AllplanBridge.exe -tclexport:tcl-file

At this point, the exported file is a complete representation of the input model. It can be used as a backup or as a template for other projects. It is recommended to save different stages of a model in different export files, although the UNDO/REDO functionality is very helpful when problems occur. The Allplan Bridge database is very robust and secure. However, if for some reason the model database is corrupted, the TCL file, readable in ASCII format, can help to recover the model.

On the Backstage page of Allplan Bridge, there is another option to split the model into different export files. Large projects generate large script files. Sometimes it is helpful to organize different groups of data into smaller files.
