Evaluation of a defined earthquake event based on a previously calculated result file of an eigenvalue calculation
You can define earthquake events with respective response spectra in the menu Analysis/Dynamics/Modal.
Use the calculation task EIGEN to calculate the eigenvalues.
The results of the evaluation of the earthquake event are stored in an envelope, which can be processed as usual (superposition, results presentation).
Arguments
eq (earthquake)
Name of the defined earthquake event to be evaluated
vx
Component of the vector in the direction of the global x-axis for defining the direction of the excitation
vy
Component of the vector in the direction of the global y-axis for defining the direction of the excitation
vz
Component of the vector in the direction of the global z-axis for defining the direction of the excitation
Note: The resulting 3-dimensional vector from the defined directions is internally normalized.
Example: Excitation in an angle of 45 deg in the ground plane: vx = 1, vy = 0, vz = 1
resname (result name)
Result name of the previously performed eigenvalue calculation
env (envelope)
Name of the envelope, in which the results of the evaluation of the earthquake event should be stored (internal forces, displacements, stresses)
xlsout (Excel output)
Name of the MS-Excel file, in which the specific results of the evaluation of the earthquake event should be stored in a respective subfolder of the project directory
