Add a uniform load to the load train

To add a uniform load to the load train

1. Click QLOAD: Uniform load.

   A new entry is created in the table.

2. Define in the respective input fields of the table:
   • the magnitude of the uniform load (positive values in the direction of the negative Y-axis) as an area load (the conversion to a line load is done automatically on the basis of the width of the lane, on which the load train is placed - optionally, you can define the line load directly independently of the width of the lane in the Property window by activating the option As line load.
   • the minimum length of the uniform load
   • the maximum length of the uniform load

   or

   • a variable length of the uniform load

     Remark: If the minimum length equals the maximum length, then the length of the uniform load is fixed. If the maximum length is greater than the minimum length, the uniform load is automatically varied in this range, i.e. the most unfavorable length (for the particular considered case) is evaluated. If the option floating length is set, then the uniform load is varied in the range from zero to infinite.

In addition, the option unfavorable only can be (de)activated in the Property window. Per default this option is active, i.e. that the uniform load is only placed in the areas and with the length (within the defined range), in which it acts unfavorable for the particular considered case.
