Tolerances

Set the tolerances for the abort criterion of the non-linear numerical solution method

Note: At the moment such a non-linear analysis is only performed for creep & shrinkage.

Equilibrium Residuum / Equilibrium Displacement

Permitted deviation of the approximate solution for the residuum in kN and for the displacements in m and rad

The convergence of the particular iteration steps can be viewed in the Logging window (Residuum = Equilibrium Residuum, Increment = Equilibrium Displacement):

In case the calculation does not converge, the tolerance can be increased for the respective value.

Shear deformation (Timoshenko beam)

Consider shear deformation

Consider the shear deformation according to Timoshenko in addition to the Bernoulli hypothesis (pure bending deformation)

Time-dependent elastic modulus

Consider E(t)

Consider the time-dependent elastic modulus when calculating stresses of composed cross sections (composite sections, pre-stressed sections) by respectively considering the different stiffnesses
