Tools: Model Precast Elements
The dialog box includes the following parameters:
Path
Use this to specify whether the object entered stretches across an area that can be defined freely (Starting point and end point) or across an entire Leaf or the entire Component.
When you select Leaf or Component, the area can only be entered in a specific view of the 'Edit Element' tool (depending on the element type) and the height of the component defines the spatial extension; when you select Starting point and end point, on the other hand, you can enter the area in any view of the 'Edit Element' tool and define the extension by clicking points in a reference view.
Interaction with precast element
You can specify whether the object entered is added to the precast element (Positive (merging) / lengthening) or whether it cuts out the precast element (Negative (cut out) / shortening).
Fixture for invoicing
You can select a linear fixture from the Fixture Catalog here, which you can then include in the element plan table, in invoice lists or when creating production data.
If a linear fixture is selected as Fixture for Invoicing, for which options for cutting the reinforcement are active in the Fixture catalog on the Reinforcement tab, these options will be fundamentally overlooked here. The fixture in question is only used as an invoicing component.
Note: The two
Modify attributes of smart fixture symbol or
Modify attributes of fixture placement functions can be used to modify the fixture defined when the entry is made.
General display
When you select the Construction lines option, the modeled object appears in construction-line format. Thus, you can show or hide it using "Show/Hide" or "Print Preview".
When you select the According to general settings option, the program uses the settings in the Properties palette - Format area. If the option is deactivated, the settings for line width, line type and line color are activated and used for the display.
Display in plan view
If the Create hatching/pattern/fill option is selected, then depending on the settings for Hatching, Pattern or Fill that are selected, selecting this checkbox is for better recognizability of the modeled body.
Note: If you want to see the color used for hatching and pattern on the screen, make sure the Color stands for pen option is not active in Show/Hide.
