Structural Supports

Task area Structural Calculation

You can use this tool to define structural supports. The structural support must be correctly defined for structural slab design calculations.

Notes:
If you apply an architectural slab to architectural walls, the program detects whether it is dealing with exterior walls or interior walls, automatically creating the appropriate support type.
To display the support lines, you must select Structural Analysis System on/off in the Plan Display tool (How).

Activate Plan Display in one of the following ways

• Actionbar:Role Precast Elements Task Precast Slab Task area Precast Slab

• Menu bar: Create Precast Precast Slab/Precast Wall/Precast Element

• Palette: Tools Create area in the following modules:

Precast slab

Precast Wall

Precast Element

To create structural supports

1. Click Structural Supports (How).
   

   Activate Structural Supports in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Precast Elements Task Precast Slab Task area Structural Calculation

   • Menu bar: Create Precast Elements Precast Slab

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Precast Slab

2. Select Line Support or Point Support on the context toolbar. The procedure differs depending on your choice.
3. Press ESC to quit creating structural supports.
