Bar length, mesh length
Add up individual segments: The program creates the segment labels of bent bars based on the outer dimensions, axis dimensions or inner dimensions (in accordance with the setting of the Segment lengths option) and calculates the bar length by adding up these values.
Calculate actual length: The program creates the segment labels of bent bars based on the outer dimensions or axis dimensions and calculates the bar length based on the bar axis. This means that bars can be cut to the exact length in the reinforcement workshop.
Length acc. to BS 8666: The program creates the segment labels of bent bars based on the outer dimensions and calculates the bar length based on the specifications defined by BS 8666, the British Standard.
Round bar and mesh lengths to
You can define the round-off value for the bar lengths.
Offset of text to bending shape
You can specify the distance (mm) between the label and the schema bar.
Bar label, mesh label
Font: Select the font you want to use.
Text height: Enter a value for the
text height.
Text width: Enter a value for the
text width.
Font angle in degrees: Enter a value for the
font angle.
Segment lengths
Outer dimensions: The program creates the segment labels of bent bars based on the outer dimensions.
This setting is predefined when Length acc. to BS 8666 is selected for the Bar length, mesh length option.
Axis dimensions: The program creates the segment labels of bent bars based on the axis dimensions.
Axis dimensions are commonly used in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia.
Inner dimensions: The program creates the segment labels of bent bars based on the inner dimensions.
This setting is only available when the Add up individual segments is selected for the Bar length, mesh length option.
Unit
You can define the unit for the segment label by selecting an entry in the list box.
Round segment lengths to
You can define the round-off value for segment lengths.
Length at end
The length of the last segment or hook of bent bars is automatically defined by the remaining bar length after the last bend. If Allplan calculates the bar length by adding the segment lengths, the actual segment length is greater than the Segment length in the schema.
Therefore, you can choose to display the last Segment length in parentheses or output No segment length for the last segment.
Regardless of the setting defined, Allplan labels only one segment length if the first and last segments are the same length and direction.
Reference point
You can define a reference point for the segment labels. Three options are available.
Offset of text to segment
You can enter the distance (mm) between the label and the segment.
Segment label
Font: Select the font you want to use.
Text height: Enter a value for the
text height.
Text width: Enter a value for the
text width.
Font angle in degrees: Enter a value for the
font angle.
Offset of dimension line to segment
You can define the distance between the dimension lines and the schema bar. Click the Dimension line button to define general parameters of the dimension line.
Text in list of reinforcement placed polygonally
You can use the following parameters to configure how Allplan displays schema labels of bars placed polygonally:
Font: Select the font you want to use.
Text height: Enter a value for the
text height.
Text width: Enter a value for the
text width.
Font angle in degrees: Enter a value for the
font angle.
Bending length, name, from diameter
You can use this option to define a type of schema that is common practice in Brazil. Specify whether you want to add a prefix for the inside radius of bending pins to the schema bar. In addition, you can define the text you want to use for this prefix and select the minimum diameter for displaying this prefix.
To actually see this prefix in the schema, check the setting for Bar length, mesh length, making sure Add up individual segments is selected for the bar shape clicked. In addition, check that the labeling of Segment lengths is based on Outer dimensions. The actual bar length on the outside appears at the bending positions with bending pins. For the segments adjoining the bending positions, the program displays the length of the unbent bar as far as the bending pin.
