Catalogs for precast concrete elements
"General" tab
Created on:
Date of creation of data record.
Last modification:
Most recent modification date.
Name:
You can enter any name. You can find this name in the Material list box on the Insulation tab of the panel type catalogs for (prestressed) hollow core elements, in the Name list box in the Filling Objects, Spreader Ribs dialog box when you design half floors and brick slabs with filling objects, and in the Material list box of the insulating layer when you design thermal walls.
Description:
User-defined name that can be used for labels in element plans or lists.
Material / Density / Thermal conductivity:
The program uses the Density to calculate the element weight. The entries for Material and Thermal conductivity are intended for future use and have no effect at the moment.
Manufacturer's data:
Full name of manufacturer. Some control systems require this for stock control.
"Production" tab
The program considers the following settings when creating production data and lists.
Surface fixture used as layer:
You can assign a surface fixture from the fixture catalog to the insulation material. You must make this assignment if you want to transfer the insulation material to production. Select a fixture in the list box.
Linear fixture when used as insulating strips around openings or top/bottom levels:
You can assign a linear fixture from the fixture catalog to insulating strips created automatically at the element top, at the element bottom, and around openings. You must make this assignment if you want to transfer insulating strips to production. Select a fixture in the list box.
"Placement" tab
Depending on the element type, the program interprets the dimensions as follows:
Thickness
You can use Fixed value to define a fixed thickness and Region to define a variable thickness.
Minimum thickness in area of concrete strips: [mm]
If the thickness of an insulating layer is less than the minimum thickness specified (for example, due to a concrete strip), the program does not create the insulating layer in the area in question.
Dimensions
When you select the Define dimensions option, the program uses the values specified for the Length, Width, Minimum length, and Minimum width as fixed dimensions for the filling objects of half floors and brick slabs. For (prestressed) hollow core elements, the program places boards of the insulation material.
For wall types with insulation, you can create insulating boards during design. When placing basic insulation based on the Half panel rule, the program uses these values for the half panel length and half panel width, whilst also taking into account the value to be subtracted for the cutter for half panels.
If you want to define the length and width of the filling objects when designing or modifying half floors and brick slabs, make sure that the Define dimensions option is not selected. For (prestressed) hollow core elements and wall types with insulation, the program creates an insulating board with the dimensions of the precast element.
"Display" tab
The following display options apply only to hollow core elements, prestressed hollow core elements, and thermal walls. For half floors and brick slabs with filling objects, the program displays the filling objects based on the settings in the configurations.
Line representation
At this point you initially specify how it should be displayed in ALLPLAN. The following options are available in the selection dialog box:
Note: Only with the Custom definition option can you define the
Pen,
Line
Color and
Layer settings. When it comes to the other options, these are grayed out.
With Pen, Line and Color as well as Layer you define the settings for displaying the insulation material or the layer on which the insulation material is shown. In addition, the program uses this color in animation and in Bimplus.
Clicking the button for the Layer opens the Select Layer dialog. Precisely one layer can be selected at this point. After confirmation of the dialog with OK the short name of the chosen layer is shown on the icon for the layer at that point.
When searching for a layer, the Select layer dialog contains the
Find catalog entry icon. When in the dialog box Find catalog entry define the entry to be searched for using the search for field, then if required, select the exact search option if it is necessary to distinguish between lower and upper-case letters. Upon confirming the dialog, the defined search text is searched for from the marked row. In this case, the Full name column is searched first. If no entry is found here then the Short name column is searched, and if the desired entry is not found there, then the LayerNo Column is searched as well.
If an appropriate entry is found then the corresponding row is highlighted. If the desired entry was not found, then select
Find catalog entry once again. The last search text is still entered and you can confirm the dialog immediately. The next entry is highlighted. If no suitable entry is found in the three columns that are being searched, then the selection remains unchanged.
Section display
You can determine if the insulation material in a section is displayed as a
Hatching, a
Pattern, a
Fill, a
Bitmap Area or a
Style Area at this point.
To select a surface element, select its check box, click in the box, and select the required type. To turn a surface element off, clear its check box. If all check boxes are cleared, the program does not display surface elements.
Note: You can select a Hatching style or a Pattern in addition to a Fill. In this case, the fill is the background color.
Animation
When you select the
Surface check box, the selected surface is visible in animation.
"->Assignment" tab
Assignment of entries to components.
The selected entry applies to the selected components only. If no component is selected, the entry applies to all components.
"->Fact." tab
Assignment of entries to factories.
The selected entry applies to the selected factories only. If no factory is selected, the entry applies to all factories.
