Spiral Stair

Task area Stair + Interior Finish

You can use this tool to design spiral stairs.

To create a spiral stair

1. Click Spiral Stair (How).
   

   Activate Spiral Stair in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Architecture Task Elements Task area Stair

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture Stairs

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Stairs

2. Set the center of the stair.
3. Define the inside radius of the spiral stair.
   Enter a value or place a point.
4. Place another point to define the start of the circle or enter the angular offset (measured from the x axis) (between 0 and 720 degrees). Enter the end point in the same manner.
5. Define the outside radius of the spiral stair.
   Enter a value or place a point.
6. Click Height to set up the height and define additional parameters for the outline of the stair.
7. Click Match to copy the component settings from an existing stair.
8. Right-click in the workspace or click OK on the context toolbar to confirm the current settings.
9. Define the geometry of the stair (rise, tread, etc..).
10. Click and define the individual stair components.
    Click OK to confirm the settings.
11. Click Close to finish designing the stair and acknowledge the prompt by clicking Yes.

    The stair is saved and this completes the design.

12. Place the stair’s label.
