Import STL Data

Task area Import

You can use this tool to import files in *.stl format to ALLPLAN. The program transfers the data as 3D triangular surfaces.

General information on the STL format

To import STL data

1. Click Import STL Data (How).
   

   Activate Import STL Data in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Teamwork Task area Import

   • Menu bar: File Import

   • Title bar: Allplan icon Import

2. Select a file and click Open.

   Tip: You can also drag the STL file to the document or animation window.

   The 3D model will be created in the document.
   The program uses the current settings in the Properties palette (pen thickness, line type, line color and layer).
