3-Point Correct

You can use this tool to correct an area of a scanned image by entering three points.

• The 3-Point Correct tool changes the file including the scanned image. Therefore, use Copy Image to make a backup copy first.

• In addition, set the zoom factor so that the image is roughly the required size.
  To do this, use Link with Scanned Image and adjust the zoom factor.

To realign a scanned image by entering 3 points

1. Click 3-Point Correct (How).
   

   Activate 3-Point Correct in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Design Task area As-completed Drawings

   • Menu bar: Change Bonus Tools Scan

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Scan

2. Use the polyline entry tools to define the area you want to correct.
3. Click the first initial point in the scanned image.

   Note: The three reference points should not form an acute or obtuse angle.

4. Click the corresponding target point.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the second and third point.
