Introduction

You can use this task area to add symbol, linear and surface fixtures to existing design elements.

You place surface fixtures (for example, insulating boards) by entering a closed placing polygon. The polyline can be of any line type, width, and color. You can also apply a hatching style, pattern, or fill to the area delimited by the polyline. Surface fixtures will be analyzed per square meter.

You place linear fixtures (for example, water drips, cast-in channels, and so on) by entering a polyline. The polyline can be of any line type, width, and color. Linear fixtures will be analyzed per meter.

You place symbol fixtures (for example, sockets) by defining a reference point. Symbol fixtures will be analyzed per piece.

In addition, any number of fixtures (symbol, linear or surface) can be brought together in a fixture group (smart symbol group) and saved to a file.

You can use this tool to combine any number of fixtures to form a smart symbol group. This group will be saved in a smart fixture symbol file. As a result, you can place frequently used fixture groups quickly and easily.
If the individual parts are in different precast elements when the group is set down, the group breaks down into the individual precast elements.
You can delete individual parts of the group independently of each other.

Note: You can also combine fixtures with objects for displacement and reinforcement elements to form a fixture group.

Dynamic group fixtures are fixture groups for which parameters can be defined graphically or numerically. Consequently, these groups adapt to any geometry.

You can freely define and change the appearance, attributes and parameters of the fixtures.

In addition to freely defining how elements look, you can assign attributes (prompt texts and a plan text) to elements. Allplan analyzes these attributes when you place and label the fixtures.
