Fitting Elements One by One

Tool(s): Element for Fit

To place a single element or pattern

1. Click Element for Fit (How).
   

   Activate Element for Fit in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Design Task area Smart Fit

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Smart Fit

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Smart Fit

2. Select the Element or Pattern tab.
3. Select a defined element or pattern.
4. Select the following placing method:
   Place elements or pattern one by one.
5. Click OK.

   The element is attached to the crosshairs.

6. Position the element as required.

   Placing a single element makes a ”hole” within the placement region that is filled by the element. Any regional placements you have made are re-calculated and the placement region is intersected by all the single placements (see example).

Note: We recommend that you draw the placing regions in advance using the tools provided by the Design task.
