Smart symbols and attributes

Using the tools in the Smart Symbols task area, you can assign attributes to smart symbols. A smart symbol consists of given attributes you assign when you define the smart symbol (for example, the variables Item, Factor) and user-defined attributes (for example, manufacturer, number or price).

You can assign attributes in a dialog box, which functions in the same way as in the Attributes task area.

When placing the smart symbol, you can click the Attrib button to open the Modify Attributes dialog box and assign attributes.

You can assign attributes to smart symbols as follows:

• Attrib when you define a smart symbol
• Attrib when you place a smart symbol
