Modify Extension Line

Task area Dimension

You can use this tool to modify the length of extension lines.

Tip: To remove extension lines, enter 0 for the length.

To modify extension lines

1. Click Modify Extension Line (How).
   

   Activate Modify Extension Line in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Draft Task Label Task area Dimension

   • Menu bar: Modify Dimension Lines

   • Palette: Tools Change area in the following module(s):

   Dimension Lines

2. Select the extension line points you want to change.
   

   • To select a single element, click it.
   • To select elements in a selection rectangle, hold down the left mouse button and open a selection rectangle around the elements you want to select.
   • Some tools allow you to select all elements in the current document by clicking All in the input options or pressing CTRL+A.

   When selecting elements, you can use filters, which allow you to filter by element type or property. For more information, see Using filters.

3. Click the current end point of the extension line.
4. Define the new end point in one of the following ways:
   • Click in the workspace.
   • Enter the length at the keyboard.
