Modifying the parameters of a dimension line in the Properties palette
Modifying a dimension line in the Properties palette always involves two steps:
Note: You can also use this method to modify the parameters of an individual section or point of a dimension line (Section/point area).
Note: By clearing the Associative in relation to reference points option in the Element area, you remove the associativity from the dimension line. However, you cannot restore the associativity again or assign it later.
Modifying the parameters of dimension lines based on their initial settings
Modifying a dimension line in this manner always involves two steps:
Note: Thus, you can also modify the parameters of an individual section or point of a dimension line (Section/Point tab).
Modifying the position of dimension lines
To modify the position of a dimension line, use
Move Dimension Line. This moves the dimension line orthogonally. The associativity is retained.
Note: Moving a dimension line by using the
Move tool on the Edit toolbar causes the associativity to be lost unless you select both the dimension line and the dimensioned points.
