Converting as-built data to demolition data

When converting as-built data to demolition data, you can match the parameters of a suitable demolition element from the wizard and use these parameters for Conversion for Building Alteration Work. If you do not use wizards, you can also use the default setting of Conversion for Building Alteration Work, which you can restore by clicking Reset.

Converting as-built data to demolition data, important steps

• You have already converted the relevant elements of the layout to as-built data by using the Conversion for Building Alteration Work tool.
• If you work with the ALLPLAN IBD 2026 Data for Building Alteration package, use Copy, Move Elements between Documents to copy the as-built data to the drawing files in the Building model, as-built structural node.

1. Make the drawing file with the as-built data current.

   Note: If you want to assign a different building alteration category only to a section of a wall, you must split up the wall first.
   To do this, you can use the Split Surface Elements, Archit. Elements tool. As an alternative, select Delete Section of Linear Component and then Join Component with Line.

2. Click Conversion for Building Alteration Work.
3. Click Properties and define the parameters of the demolition element in one of the following ways:
   • Set parameters for the element in the Conversion for Building Alteration Work dialog box.
   • Click to reset all the parameters to their defaults.
   • Click Match parameters and adopts the parameters of a suitable element in one of the building alteration wizards.
4. Click Cancel.
5. Select all elements and click Apply.
6. Repeat steps 3 to 6 to convert more components to demolition objects.
7. Click Close.
