Transfer Detailed Drawing File

You can use this tool to transfer the detailed drawing file of a model precast element group to one or more similar normal precast element groups.

To apply a detailed drawing file

1. Click Transfer Detailed Drawing File (How).
   

   Activate Transfer Detailed Drawing File in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Role Precast Elements Task Precast Slab Task area BIM-Booster

   • Menu bar: Create Precast BIM Booster

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following modules:

2. Select the source model precast element whose detailed drawing file you wish to transfer.

   During transfer, the program copies the detailed drawing file of the source model precast element to an empty drawing file and associates the copied detailed precast element with the destination precast element group, thus turning it into a model precast element group. You can select one or more normal precast elements to which you want to transfer the detailed drawing file.

   There is also an automatic synchronization of the attributes and basic solid from the destination model precast element to the newly created detailed drawing file. As a result, the mark number, the precast ID, the additional ID and the basic geometry of the model and the detailed drawing are the same.

   When you use Transfer Detailed Drawing File to transfer reinforcement and fixtures from a precast element to another precast element and the reinforcement and fixtures to be transferred are outside the destination precast element, the program links the reinforcement and the fixtures with the destination precast element so that they will not be lost when you modify the data later.

   As a result, you get a number of additional finished model precast elements including detailed precast elements.

3. After you have confirmed the selection, the Destination drawing file dialog box opens. Select an empty drawing file. This is the first drawing file. Starting at this drawing file, the program creates the detailed drawing files in succession.
4. The program creates a separate detailed drawing file for each normal precast element group selected.

   The Name of detailed drawing file for the detailed drawing files created is therefore generated according to the defined pattern.

   • In the case of slabs, iWalls and structural precast elements, the pattern is defined under BIM Booster in the General tab of the Configurations, Slab Programs, Half floor or Concrete slab, Design or Wall Programs, Concrete wall (iWall)) or Sandwich wall (iWall)), Design or Structural precast elements, Element creation.
   • In the case of precast elements, the pattern is created in the Definition of element creation on the General tab of BIM Booster of Catalogs, Precast Element, Element type catalog.
