DT Reinforcement

Task area DT Reinforcement

You can use this tool to create unwarped elements from selected double-tee beams and to reinforce them.

To create unwarped and reinforced elements

  1. Open the drawing file with the placement of the warped double-tee beams in edit mode and select a drawing file in which you want to create the unwarped and reinforced elements.
  2. Click DT Reinforcement (Select).
  3. Define the general parameters and format properties on the Modeling and Design tabs in the palette.
  4. Select the required reinforcement shapes on the Select shape tab; define the general reinforcement values and the parameters of the selected reinforcement shapes on the DT Beam Reinforcement tab.
  5. Return to the Select shape tab and select the Create reinforcement option.
  6. Click the - select button in the palette and draw a line in any viewport.

This selects all double-tee beams in the area of the line.

  7. Click the - create button in the palette to create unwarped elements with the selected reinforcement from the selected double-tee beams.

Note: To create the unwarped elements, Allplan rotates the points on the second placing line about the center axis of the double-tee beam. This center axis is also used if the width of the double-tee beam is cut on one side to the left or right.
If you have not selected a reinforcement shape on the Select shape tab, Allplan creates only the unwarped element without reinforcement.

  8. Select more double-tee beams and create more unwarped elements with the selected reinforcement, or close the tool by clicking Close or selecting Esc.
