“Keyboard shortcuts” dialog box

Tools: Shortcuts

The area on the left side of the Keyboard Shortcuts dialog box lists the task areas; the area on the right side lists the tools of each task area.

Note: You can see all tools of all task areas, including tools that are not activated in your current ALLPLAN version. Inactive tools have semitransparent symbols.

You can use the Up arrow, Down arrow keys and the Page up, Page down keys to switch between the task areas in the list on the left side. To go to a specific task area, click in the list on the left side and enter the first letter of the required task area. The area on the right side lists the tools in the selected task area and the shortcuts assigned.

You can find general tools without icons or tools that do not belong to a task area in the More tools or More tools without icons group in the list on the left side.

You can select one of the standard sets in the upper area of the Keyboard shortcuts dialog box. As soon as you make changes, a customized set is created. Furthermore, there is also a Search input field available for use. You can use this box to find tools across task areas.

When the table on the right side shows the tool to which you want to assign a keyboard shortcut or of which you want to change the existing keyboard shortcut, click in this line in the Shortcuts column and enter the required keyboard shortcut.
You can assign shortcuts with up to three letters. You can also combine several key modifiers when entering a shortcut, such as the CTRL or ALT key. Keys such as ESC, DEL, ENTER cannot be used. If this keyboard shortcut is already in use, you will see a message.

Note: When shortcuts with one or two letters are entered later, the system may wait for a potential further entry after the corresponding letters have been entered, which is why the ENTER button must be pressed at the end.
