Entire folders

Create

You can use Entire folders to back up folders with their subfolders. You can select any other folder that contains data for <product>.

Here is a list of available options:

Office standard

Backs up the data in the office default folder. This folder contains data that apply to the entire office (for example, fonts, symbols).

Projects

Select one or more named projects you want to back up.

Private settings

This is the folder that is available to the local user or to the user name if you work with Workgroup Manager. name is the name the user enters to sign in to Workgroup Manager.

The private folder for the local user is always stored locally on the computer and is ...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2026\Usr\Local.
The folder of an ALLPLAN user in a workgroup environment is usually in the central file storage folder in ...\Usr\name\.

The private folder contains the two subfolders i_o and prj, which you can also back up separately.

You have the following options: off

• Full
  Backs up the entire folder including data and subfolders.
• User local or name
  All user-based default settings. This includes the data in this folder but without subfolders.
• Replace
  all files intended for backup. This is the folder ...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2026\Usr\Local\i_o or also in a workgroup environment in the central file storage folder in ...\Usr\name\i_o.
• Project
  Refers to the "private project", that is, the project without a name. This is the folder ...\Users\Windows_user_name\Documents\Nemetschek\Allplan\2026\Usr\Local\Prj or also in a workgroup environment in the central file storage folder in ...\Usr\name\prj.

Any folder

• With subfolders
  Select the desired folder, e.g. ...\Data\Allplan\Allplan 2026\Prj. This procedure backs up all subfolders and data in this path.
• Without subfolders
  Select the desired folder. This procedure backs up the data in this folder, but not the folder's subfolders.
