Resources used in drawing files can be saved either directly in the project itself (= project-specific) or in the office standard (=office-specific). When creating projects, you can specify whether you want to use project-specific or office-specific resources (you can change this retrospectively). An exception is the drawing symbol regulations, which can be in the default folder or in the office standard (see "Urban planning symbols").
When you select the project-specific setting, you can specify whether you want to use a copy of the office standard or a copy of another project. You can then amend these resources in a project-specific manner without changing the office standard. Project-specific resources are saved in the folder of the relevant project.
When you choose the office-specific setting, the program uses the resources of the office standard. Office-specific resources are saved in the ...\std folder.
You can change these settings later. Keep in mind, though, that when you switch from project-specific to office-specific, all the changes you have made to the resources of the project in question will be lost.
Note: If you want to subsequently change the project from which the project resources are to be matched to an existing project with the path set to Project, you must first change from Projects to Office and then confirm the note and the dialog box. Then switch back to project and use
to select the desired project.
You can change the resources themselves using the Defaults tool (How). When the resources are project-specific, you will change the resources of the selected project only. But when the resources are office-specific, the office standard itself will change and thus all the projects based on the office standard. When you work with Workgroup Manager in a network environment, you can only change the office standard when you are signed in as the administrator.
