Roof Frame to Custom Planes

Task area Change + Roof

You can use this tool to resolve a roof frame into discrete architectural reference planes (custom planes). After having exploded the roof frame, you can select each plane of the roof separately and modify it like a pair of custom reference planes.

To explode a roof frame into custom pairs of reference planes

1. Click Roof Frame to Custom Planes (How).
   

   Activate Roof Frame to Custom Planes in one of the following ways

   • Actionbar:Change task area
   • Actionbar:Role Architecture Task Elements Task area Roof

   • Menu bar: Create Architecture General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   General: Roofs, Planes, Sections

2. Click the roof frame you want to explode.
3. Confirm the prompt.

Note: After having exploded the roof frame, you can no longer edit it using the tools in the Roof task area.
