Disadvantages of data organization with layers

Besides the numerous advantages, organizing data with layers also has two disadvantages:

• Layers involve some managing work, at least in the beginning.
• If your entire data organization is based on layers, the data is in one drawing file (that is, in one file). This means that only one user at a time can access the data. You must spread the data over different drawing files so hat several users can work and access the data at the same time.
