You can use this tool to select fixtures from your own catalogs and place these fixtures in the drawing file.

To place a fixture from a custom catalog

Custom catalogs

An import tool is available for importing the material master from an ERP system and creating a user-defined article catalog.
The fixtures with their article numbers, long and short names, etc. are structured using product groups (classes) and saved in the article catalog. In addition, these fixtures are associated with the representations you defined graphically in the CAD system beforehand.

1. Click Fixture from Article Catalog (How).
   

   Activate Fixture from Article Catalog in one of the following ways

   • Menu bar: Create Bonus Tools Fixtures

   • Palette: Tools Create area in the following module(s):

   Fixtures

   You can see the Selection of Articles dialog box, where you can select a fixture.

2. Click Open catalog and select a catalog. The first time you select this tool, the Open Catalog dialog box opens automatically.
   Clicking a catalog in the tree view displays information about this catalog in the right pane. You can use the Options ... (Tree tab) to choose to display the Selection name or Company name in the tree view.
3. Click OK to confirm the selection and place the fixture.
   To place the element, use the tools in the input options.
   Article numbers are saved with the fixture and can be evaluated in follow-up programs.
4. Define the label's text parameters before you specify the drop-in point. The settings you make are valid until you place the next fixture.
5. Enter the angle of rotation at the keyboard.
6. Define the label’s drop-in point.
   

Note: You can use the Replace Fixtures tool to replace user-defined fixtures you have already placed with other user-defined fixtures, Allplan fixtures or manufacturer-specific fixtures.
