Tool

Use

Photo Settings

You can use this tool to specify which of the elements in the 3D model are to be displayed in the photo-realistic image, and how.
The settings you make are valid for all the calculations until you change them.

Photo

You can use this tool to create a realistic, vector-oriented 2D image with shadows based on a 3D model or selected elements.

Photo for Sun Study

You can use this tool to create a sun study based on several photos. You set a fixed view and let the sun wander. Allplan calculates photos at intervals you specify.

Mount 3D Model in Image

You can use this tool to insert 3D models in bitmap images, for example, a planned building in a photograph of the planned site. In addition, you can identify the eye point, target point and the vanishing points in a scanned photograph.
Optical distortion of photographic lenses and the section scanned of the photograph combined with the resolution of the screen restrict the accuracy of this operation. This means that corrections or even a number of attempts may be necessary until you are satisfied with the result.

Shadow to Hatching

You can use this tool to convert the shadows cast (calculated by the ‘Photo’ tool) to hatching (for example, to obtain specific effects).
