Add, move or remove a group of tools

Starting Actionbar Configurator

Task areas including a large number of tools can be subdivided into three groups of tools: Create, Create in context and Modify in context. Using Actionbar Configurator, you can add these groups of tools to the role, change their position within the role or remove them from the role. When a task area includes several groups of tools, these groups are separated by continuous, vertical lines (= separators) in the role.

To add, move or remove a group of tools

  1. To move a group of tools within the role, click the right separator of the group of tools you want to move and drag the group of tools into the task area to which you want to assign this group of tools.

Note: You can move groups of tools within the same task area or across task areas.

  2. To remove a group of tools from the role, click the right separator of the group of tools you want to remove and drag the group of tools away from the role.

Release the mouse button to finally remove the group of tools from the role.

Tip: Click PlusMinus to create a new task. This new task automatically gets all fixed task areas that are included in the other tasks of the role.

  3. To add a group of tools to the role, select the task area (left column of table) that includes the group of tools you want to add.
Click the name of the group of tools you want to add (Create, Create in context or Modify in context) in the right table column.

The name is highlighted in blue.

  4. Drag the group of tools into the required task area.

Note: You can add groups of tools to any task area of the role.

ATTENTION: If a group of tools includes tools with flyout menus, all the tools on the flyout menus will be moved, removed or added.

Tip: By inserting separators, you can group the tools in the group, thus creating subgroups. To do this, open the shortcut menu of a tool and click Insert separator. This inserts a dashed, vertical line. You can show or hide these separators (drop-down list on the Allplan title bar - Customize User Interface... - Actionbar tab).

Note: Changes in fixed (gray) task areas apply to all roles; changes in variable (blue) task areas only apply to the role and task currently selected.

You can find the Reset button in the lower area of the Configure tab.
ATTENTION: By clicking the Reset button, you delete ALL roles you created yourself and reset ALL changes. This restores the default configuration of Allplan!
