Adding, moving, or removing a tool

Starting Actionbar Configurator

By using the drag-and-drop feature, you can move tools within a task, add tools to, and remove tools from a task area. You can also move tools across tasks. When adding a new tool to the role, you can add this tool to any task area.

To add, move, or remove a tool

  1. To move a tool within the role, click this tool and drag it into the new task area.

Note: You can move tools within the same task area or across task areas.

  2. To remove a tool from the role, click this tool and drag it away from the role.

Release the mouse button to remove the tool from the role.

  3. To add a tool to the role, select the task area (left column of table) that includes the tool that you want to add.

Note: The right column lists all tools. Tools that are not included in your current Allplan version have semitransparent icons. If roles contain such tools, you can see the following ToolTip: tool name (no license). These tools are not visible on the Actionbar in Allplan.

Tip: To quickly find a tool, you can use the Find tool.

  4. Click this tool in the right column and drag the tool into the required task area.

Tip: To avoid confusion, you can add separators to task areas. To do this, open the shortcut menu of a tool and select Insert separator. You can show or hide these separators (drop-down list on the Allplan title bar - Customize User Interface... - Actionbar tab).

Note: You can add tools to any task area.

ATTENTION! By moving, adding, or removing a tool that has a flyout menu, you move, add, or remove not only the tool itself but also all the tools on the flyout menu.

Note: Changes in fixed (gray) task areas apply to all roles; changes in variable (blue) task areas apply only to the role and task currently selected.

You can find the Reset button in the lower area of the Configure tab.
ATTENTION: By clicking the Reset button, you delete ALL roles you created yourself and reset ALL changes. This restores the default configuration of Allplan!
