Handling projects with Allplan Bimplus

When handling construction projects based on the BIM method, all planning partners involved must be able to communicate with one another at any time, directly update the building model with their current specialist models, and efficiently carry out the issues assigned to them.

If you work with the openBIM platform Bimplus developed by ALLPLAN GmbH, you can carry out all these tasks and many more directly from your Allplan workstation:

• If the BIM coordinator responsible for the construction project has created the Bimplus project and if this project already includes planning data of the building model, you can download the planning data to Allplan and use the data as a basis for your planning.
• You can upload the planning data of your specialist models directly to Bimplus. As Allplan and Bimplus are bidirectionally connected, you do not need to export the data or convert the data to other formats.
• BIM Explorer in the web portal BIMPLUS can be accessed directly from Allplan in its own window so that its tools can be immediately accessed viaAllplan.
• By using the Issue Manager, which is integrated as a palette in Allplan, you can retrieve the issues created for a Bimplus project from the Bimplus web platform, create new issues, or edit existing ones without having to close Allplan.
• When you update a specialist model or change an issue, all planning partners involved automatically get emails, informing them of the changes.
• The BIM coordinator responsible for the construction project can define the component attributes relevant to the project centrally in Bimplus and import these attributes into the Allplan project. If it is mandatory for all participants in a Bimplus project to use these property sets, it is possible to synchronize the attribute values across the entire construction project at any time, regardless of the planning tools used.
