Configuration Concrete Wall: Design
Initial values for wall element design.
'Parameters' tab
Shortening at BL:
[m] Initial values for shortening concrete walls as far as the architectural wall.
Concrete grade:
Preset concrete grades of the core layer for design. The list box provides all entries that are defined in the concrete grade catalog and assigned to the current factory.
Exposure class:
Default for the exposure class.
Cement formulation, minimum concrete cover, and minimum concrete strength grade depend on the exposure class.
Additional text for mark numbers:
Additional text for mark number.
"Outer leaves" tab
A concrete wall consists of two surfaces: a bottom surface (smooth side) and a top surface (side where concrete is poured). The bottom surface is always linked with the invisible side. The visible side is indicated by the triangle symbol.
Concrete grade visible, invisible:
Preset concrete grades of the core layer for design. The list box provides all entries that are defined in the concrete grade catalog and assigned to the current factory.
Exposure class visible / invisible:
Default for the exposure class.
Cement formulation, minimum concrete cover, and minimum concrete strength grade depend on the exposure class.
Surface visible, invisible:
Enter the text describing the concrete surface finish that is used as an initial value.
Thickness visible, invisible:
Initial values for the thickness of a facing concrete layer for concrete walls.
'Formwork attributes' tab
Formwork attributes for element edges:
No chamfer/ Chamfer at bottom / Chamfer at bottom+top / Special formwork
You can define the default formwork attributes for the different element edges. When designing, you can select more attributes in the Design Type dialog box; you can combine all attributes freely.
Poured joint attribute:
You can specify whether special formwork is to be applied to panel edges that have poured joints in a view (due to a connection).
'Marks' tab
Assignment of marks:
Specify the mark numbers the program assigns to precast elements while creating them. When you modify elements later, they get the mark numbers specified here. This also applies if you have rearranged the elements manually in the meantime by using the Modify Mark Number tool.
Zero: The elements initially get the mark number zero and will be rearranged manually later.
Ascending: The elements get numbers in ascending order.
Identical: While creating elements, the program automatically checks the elements based on the following criteria:
'Weight calculation' tab
Calculate weight based on:
Define the option you want to use to calculate the weight of the precast element.
Option 1: The volume of the precast element will be multiplied by the value defined for Specific weight of reinforced concrete in the concrete grade catalog.
Option 2: The net concrete volume of the precast element will be multiplied by the value defined for Specific weight of concrete in the concrete grade catalog. Then the steel weight will be added to the result.
To calculate the net volume of concrete, the program subtracts the steel volume (calculated from steel weight, specific weight of steel (78.5 kN/m3)) from the volume of the precast element. When calculating the steel volume, lattice girders are considered at the percentage specified below.
Option 3: The volume of the precast element will be multiplied by the value defined for Specific weight of concrete in the concrete grade catalog. Then the steel weight will be added to the result.
Note: The net volume of concrete is available as an attribute for label styles, reports and so on.
Note that reinforcement is not yet known at the time of design or division. Therefore, the weight cannot be calculated based on options 2 and 3 (division by maximum weight or consideration of crane). The preview of the label also displays the weight in accordance with option 1.
When you use options 2 and 3, the program updates the weight constantly to reflect changes you make to the outline or reinforcement of the precast element.
Consideration of lattice girders:
Specify the percentage up to which the program is to consider lattice girders when calculating the net volume of concrete.
